A Trick to rolling out dough

A Trick to rolling out dough

One of the trickiest things when rolling out any kind of dough is not letting it stick to the counter.  So today I’m going to share one of my most favorite kitchen tips that my dad learned from his dad and shared with me. I promise your dough will never stick to the counter top again.

So what’s the secret? A damp cloth. That’s it. Wipe down your table top with a damp cloth and then sprinkle the flour on it. The dampness makes the flour stick, not the dough.

You can do the same thing to the rolling pin. Wipe it down with a damp rag, and roll it in flour.

What about clean up you ask? Clean up can be a little tricky with this technique if you don’t have a scraper. So just get one. They are cheap. Just scrape up all of the flour, and you are done.
